I would like to congratulate the people of our region, especially the people of the region, on the launch of the construction of the Shakiso Airport. The project is scheduled to be completed in February 2019. The construction of the Shakiso Airport is part of the policy of the Transitional Government of the Oromia Regional State, which realizes the connectivity of the region's air and land. Before the change, the only airport in our region was Jimma. With the strategic action taken by the joint efforts of the Oromia Regional State and the Ethiopian Airlines Group and the round-the-clock monitoring and support, there will be seven airports serving our region in less than a year. Your coffee is getting better prices because of increasing quality; we have also opened a coffee tasting center. In addition, we are building asphalt roads to realize land connectivity. The Dodolaa-Warqaa-Adoolee asphalt road will be completed soon. The connectivity between Shakiso-Areero-Megga to Moyale is also being improved. I would like to remind the business community, youth, intellectuals, elders and intellectuals of the region to play their role in directing their nationalism towards the goals of the Oromo struggle. The success of the region must be seen from the perspective of economic strength, generational competitiveness and building strong systems. There is no doubt that you will make Adoola and Shaakkisoo the major economic centers of Southern Oromia by organizing all the opportunities that are being created in this way.
